Butterflies and Top Note #2

When I sat down to make some cards, as a gift for my friend, using the TOP NOTE and BUTTERFLIES, my intention was to make quick and simple cards.  I used no techniques.  I found It was so nice to be able to just make cards and have a bit of fun.

So please remember this when you view these cards.  When I start classes, I will be back into using some Techo’s.

Now for the QUICK, SIMPLE and NICE. 😉

No stamping on this one!  (The sentiment – inside the card).  Just shaded the flowers, added a twisted wire and there’s the card!   How’s that for quick!

CARD:  Crumb Cake (Base), Chocolate Chip (Top Note and centre of flowers), Daffodil Delight (Butterflies), Wild Wasabi (Leaves)
PUNCHES:  Scallop Circle, 3/4″ Circle
SIZZLET:  Little Leaves
EXTRAS:  Gold wire, Piercer,  (used for the centre of the flower), Big Shot

Don’t forget to leave a comment!

Come back to view #3 and I will show you a trick!  (If you don’t  want to miss out, why not subscribe to my blog?))

  1. Hi Debbie,

Mmm, the wire…..! Trying to be creative 🙂 Maybe trying to be a florist and not hitting the mark. lol. Better stick to card making.

The flowers are made using the Scallop Punch.
Punch out the centre of the flower using the circle punch.
Adhere the circle to the cente of the ‘soon to be flower’.
Cut each “petal’ towards the circle. Sponge the tips with ink.
The folded ‘flower’ – just fold off centre once you have cut out the petals.

Just email me if you want more information. Thanks for looking.
